My husband and I have recently challenged ourselves to not spend money frivolously for the next few months. I have always considered myself money conscious however this has forced both of us to seek alternative ways to “get things done” with some unexpected results.


DIY Laundry Detergent


This laundry detergent is super easy to make, cost efficient and can be made in large batches or in smaller containers. It can be custom made to your liking. Add essential oils to create your favorite scent or just leave it scent free. There are many different versions on the web but this one is my favorite so far. It works great! So lets get started.

Deodorant Recipe


It’s pretty simple to make this deodorant if you have the ingredients on hand. I usually make a big batch of this and either place it into smaller glass mason jars or old deodorant sticks, and keep them in the fridge so as each family member runs out, they know where to find more.
